Three New Training Programs are Now Being Offered at
Gryphon's Fort Bragg Combat Training Center

 

Since 1998, Gryphon Group has provided the “highest quality” specialized combat training available. Gryphon has trained over 17,000 American War-fighters and Federal Agents. No other company can match our documented experience or reputation.

Gryphon Group’s Cadre is considered by its clients, as well as many of its competitors, as “the most professional team in the military training industry today”.   

For over 10 years Gryphon has been headquartered in Brevard County Florida.  Now, Gryphon Group is bringing our battle-tested and combat-proven training programs closer to a selection of major military bases around the nation.  The first of these is Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

We are currently building a 400 acre Combat Training Center twenty minutes South-West of Fort Bragg on the Laurinburg-Maxton Airport. Gryphon’s Fort Bragg Combat Training Center (FBCTC) will include a 12,000 sqft Classroom Facility, a 36,000 sqft Operations Center, a 5,000 sqft Headquarters Building, a 75 acre Combat Driving Range, 95 acres of Mission Specific Ranges, a 40 acre Tactical Off-Road Driving Range, and 190 acres of Live-Fire Ranges.

The FBCTC will be fully operational in late 2010.  However, starting in February 2010, Gryphon will offer 3 training programs at the Fort Bragg Combat Training Center.  This is not the “Grand Opening” of the facility.  Instead, it is a preview of what the Warfighters at Fort Bragg can expect from Gryphon Group at our new North Carolina facility.

Founder & CEO Michael K. Vaden is proud to announce that as of September 2009, Brigadier General Gary ‘Mike” Jones (U.S. Army, Retired) has joined Gryphon Group’s management team as our new President: 

“For many years, General Jones has been a personal inspiration to the men & woman of Gryphon as well as the thousands of American Warfighters we have trained.  He is the epitome of a warrior, a powerful leader of men, and a living example of a moral, ethical life in action.  General Jones will serve primarily to ensure that Gryphon’s extremely high quality standards of training and our core values are continually monitored and maintained.  For 10 years, Gryphon has taken relevant battlefield knowledge, skills and abilities from current warfighters and incorporated those lessons into the Gryphon’s Full Spectrum Operations training regime. Brigadier General Gary “Mike” Jones (U.S. Army Retired)
Gary “Mike” Jones  is  the  President  of  Gryphon  Group  and  is  recognized as a proven, experienced-forged senior leader in military and international affairs.  General Jones has 28 years military special operations experience with extensive operational expertise in Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, the Caribbean, Central America and the Middle East.  Some of the milestones of his exceptional military career include Commander 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne); Deputy Commanding General United States Army Special Operations Command; Deputy Director Central Intelligence Agency Counter-Terrorism Center, Deputy Commander Combined Joint Task Force-Mountain during Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan; Commanding General Special Operations Europe; and Commanding General U.S. Army Special Forces Command.  After his years of military service, General Jones served as Senior Vice President for Performance Materials, Inc., a company providing innovative armor solutions for the Department of Defense; as Senior Vice President of Saffron Technology, an innovative Software Company providing state of the art analytical support to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community; and as President of Myrmidon Consulting, LLC, he has provided consulting support to U.S. Special Operations Command as a senior mentor to the Unified Quest series exercises, and to the Joint Chiefs of Staff J7 for Irregular Warfare doctrinal review.  General Jones is an alumnus of Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of the Army War College and the Conflict Management and Negotiation programs, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
